Favorite things: inspiration

Here’s a list of 10 inspiring things I read, listened to and did this year:

1. Bullet journaling—I tried it but couldn’t make it stick. However, the Bujo layouts opened my mind and showed me that planning can be both beautiful and functional.
2. Journaling with prompts—This is the first time I’ve ever used prompts in journaling which allowed me to look deeper into my life.
3. Flow Retreats: I co-hosted my first Yoga x Life Coaching Retreat in July. The environment, the blessing of the rain, the calmness—it’s what every busy soul needs.
4. The podcast How I built this: All entrepreneurs begin as scrappy start-ups, making do, stepping out of their comfort zones and just doing the work as told by celebrity chef Jose Andres, Jane Wurwand of Dermalogica and Sara Blakeley of Spanx, among others.
5. Modern Love (the podcast) keeps me sane in traffic. Here are the episodes that made my throat tighten, made me laugh and say yes-yes-yes to gorgeous writing:  Fractured Beauty, My First Son, a Pure Memory, To Fall in Love, Do this,  Fighting Words.
6. Never stop learning: The Inside Story is about building a heart-centered business.
7. Chinggay Labrador of Practical Magic gave me a tarot reading that made me feel more confident about the decisions I was making for my life and business.
8. I loved this post on how to run a soulful business.
9. And this one about The Most Beautiful Thing You’ve Ever Read. (The comments are filled with even more beautiful things.)
10. Miracle mornings have been life-transforming.
