Mid year resolutions

When I discovered Unravelling, I shifted from making resolutions in January to choosing a word that will define the year.

I chose the word TRUST as the word for 2015.  I decided not to overthink or over-plan but to trust when things were easy and to follow where ease led.  In doing this, I was able to start my life coach training, this blog, my coaching business and even my new job (and the year is just halfway done!)

This July, I feel called to be more concrete in my intentions.  I will still continue to trust but with the additional responsibilities that come with a full-time job, I can’t just meander through my days anymore.  A plan is called for if I want to keep growing my life coaching business.

This means setting (and following) a concrete schedule instead of waiting for inspiration to strike and reaching out to potential clients instead of waiting for them to find me.

This also means being more realistic about what I want to achieve given the limitations on my time and energy for coaching, unlike the seemingly unlimited hours I previously had.

This July, I will:

1.  Blog at least five times this month;

2.  Actively email four potential clients to do coaching sessions to achieve my goal of 10 coaching hours this month;

3.  Start work on my visual branding.

So how did I do with my intentions for June?

I wanted to enter my new job from a place of love instead of bringing the stressful baggage of the past.

It’s been two weeks and I’ve been having a blast.  It could be the honeymoon stage or maybe I’m taking a healthier view towards work.  I now understand that it is just a part of my life and not my entire existence.  It also helps that I don’t feel the weight of the world of work on my shoulders and that I look at my days with gratitude, with feeling blessed.

I wanted to blog at least six times this month.

My voice and motivation were really strong in June and I was able to come out with amazing content the whole month.

I wanted to have at least 15 hours of coaching sessions.

June was a turning point for me in terms of coaching a variety of clients.  While I still didn’t hit my goal of 15 hours (I did 12.5), I was able to coach a variety of people from all over the world:  the Philippines, Australia, the US and even Mauritius.  I’m grateful that my work allows me to talk to and help amazing women no matter where they live.
