The word for 2016

Have a sparkling new year! May it be filled with magic, miracles, meaning and grace.

Have a sparkling new year! May it be filled with magic, miracles, meaning and grace.

I’ve stopped making resolutions a few years ago ever since I discovered Unravelling by Susannah Conway.

Her workbook encourages you to look back at the year that was, celebrate the joys, be gentle, forgive others and then let go.

The plan for the new year is to think of your word for the year and how you can make choices that are aligned with that word.

My word for the year: GROW.

I summarized what I wanted in four phrases:
GROW my business.
GROW my clients.
GROW my knowledge.
GROW my offerings.

In 2014, my word was ADVENTURE and what a year that was! I embarked on the adventure of leaving the comfort zone of a 16-year successful career.

In 2015, my word was TRUST.  It completely permeated every decision I made last year. I trusted that I was being led to the right place in whatever I was doing…and found myself at the end of the year, marvelling at what I had accomplished—starting a consulting business, starting AND graduation from the Courageous Coaching Training Program, starting and earning from my life coaching business and then going back to full-time work in the middle of the year which is contributing so much to my learning.

In 2016, I’m feeling the need to expand and just GROW beyond what I know. The knowledge is coming from books, wise women, blogs and even Google. I’m feeling the need to reach out and see where my life coaching journey will lead me.

Come and grow with me. Talk to me about your word and how we can make that real for the new year!
