Last Saturday, Chinggay Labrador of Practical Magic and I held our first tarot and intuitive journaling workshop called Inkling.
There was magical energy and goose bumps—the kind of beautiful environment where women allow themselves to show up with curiosity and open minds and share their hearts with each other.
We pulled tarot cards and did our own three-card readings. Amazingly, with Chinggay as our guide, we were able to understand the messages of the cards. They reflected our dilemmas and concerns, our hopes and wishes. They provided wisdom on how we could move forward. The cards shone light into parts of our lives we hadn’t even thought to look at. They showed us an alternative way to examine a situation.
The session on tarot was followed by a short class on intuitive journaling—and how they are natural partners.
I encouraged them to use tarot as part of their journaling practice, or to use their journal when doing their daily draw. (A daily draw is when you pull one card everyday. It helps you understand the deck better through the events of your life.)
When I do my daily draw, the question I always ask is “What wisdom do you have for me?”
I’ve always wanted to ask more interesting questions so here are 10 that I came up with as journaling prompts for your tarot card pulls:
- What do I need right now?
- How can I care for myself right now? What would make me feel nourished and loved right now?
- What do I need to get assisted/supported on this dream/path/journey?
- How am I living my best life right now?
- What do I need to embrace?
- What do I need to let go?
- What beliefs about myself do I need to shift?
- How am I not living my best life right now?
- What should I be saying YES to?
- What should I be saying NO to?
We’re doing another Inkling workshop this May so keep your eye out for our announcements on Instagram. You can follow me here and Chinggay here. We’re opening it to more attendees this time since the first one was sold out.
