Four months ago, I left the corporate world (again) where mottos like “go big or go home,” “aim higher,” “double-digit growth!” were as common as people removing their shoes underneath their desks.
I get burdened just remembering that.
Today, I focus on just doing and creating tiny beautiful things (a title and book I love). Even my life coaching clients are encouraged to make small wins and celebrate that.
Here are some tiny things you can create or do this weekend:
- Write a tiny book.
- Start a 10-minute yoga class.
- Give yourself a digital sabbatical on Sunday morning.
- Start the day by setting an intention.
- When stuck in traffic, repeat a positive affirmation over and over.
- Read one chapter.
- Make brownies from a mix.
- Check out your gym’s or studio’s website for a new exercise class and book one.
- Clean out your underwear drawer.
- Pay one pending bill.
- Send your parents an “I love you” sticker via Viber or better yet, a little love note.
- Text your best friend.
- Go on TripAdvisor to research a future travel destination.
- Make a dot on a blank sheet of paper.
- Visit a model unit.
- Take a nap.
- Doodle.
- Choose coconut water instead of iced tea or Coke.
- Wear the dress at the back of your closet with your favorite sneakers.
- Paint your nails teal or yellow or purple.
- Buy a cactus in a pot that makes you smile.
- Visit Common Room, Hey Kessy, Lanai Manila, Kish or your favorite bookstore for creative inspiration.
- Make a no-expectations pitch (see #6 on this list).
