From me to you

My Christmas tree is still bare. The belen is still in storage. The parol that needs to be decorated for my daughter’s school is still lying around naked.

Even if it feels like I’m barely prepared for Christmas, my heart is filled with awe and gratitude:

  • Awe that this is part of my job, writing letters to you every month and gratitude that you’re sitting on the other side reading this;
  • Awe that I get to do what I do and gratitude for the women who have opened their hearts so tenderly and vulnerably to me through the years;
  • Awe that I’ve been able to grow—both my business and myself—and gratitude for all who have supported me and my dreams.

Whether you’re as unprepared as I am or you’ve got all your to-do lists in place, pause for a bit and ask:

What in your life awes you?

What are you most grateful for?

And know that this is where the wonder and joy of the season comes. It’s not in the beautifully-decorated tree or the number of events you attend, not in the Instagram-worthy table setting or the perfectly-wrapped gifts. It’s in the appreciation of the grace that continually fills our lives if we only pause to look.

Thank you for being on this journey with me.
