What if you pursue your dream?

it's okay to dream new dreams, to not have a passion, to stop hustling.Do you have a dream that you really, really, really want to make happen?  But it seems far away…unattainable…impossible to achieve.  Imagine a world where Walt Disney never created Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and never pushed past the fear and the naysayers.  Wouldn’t today be less happy and less magical without Disneyland, Beauty and the Beast and “How Far I’ll Go”?

If you’re serious about your dream, here are small steps you can take—so you’re not overwhelmed by fear, negative voices and the fact that you’re putting your heart work into the world:

1. Be clear about what you want.

What does your dream look like? What exactly are you doing? How will it feel once you achieve this? How will your life change once it comes true? Write about your dream in a journal.  Paint it in a sketchbook.  Put together a vision board on Pinterest.

2.  Be clear about your timing.

When do you envision your dream taking place? Is this next year, in five years, in 10 years?  Make a commitment to a date by writing one down.

3.  Be clear about what you need to do to get there.

What steps can you take to move you closer to your dream?  Draw a mind map. Brainstorm.  Make a list of 10 things you need to do to get there.  Then take the easiest one and do that. Then find the next easiest one and take action.

4. Be clear about why you want your dream.

Why do you want this?  What will this give you? When things get tough, being clear about why you’re doing what you’re doing will propel you through those times.
