What if we just stopped trying?

What if we just allowed life to happen?

What if we didn’t have to give 100%, to give it our all, to give it our best shot?

What if we all we needed to do was to respond appropriately to whatever comes up?

What if we didn’t need to feel productive, to fill every moment with activity to feel fulfilled, to feel as if there’s some forward momentum in our life?

What if we could just relax, to not resist what’s in front of us?

When change—and the pain that inevitably accompanies it—comes, what if we stopped fighting it but allowed it to be, to tell us its wisdom, to teach us what we need to know?

When joy comes, what if we stopped to experience it, to let it melt our bones, to live it as fully as we can?

What if we stop looking at ourselves as a project, as something to be improved but to trust ourselves to do the best we can with what we’ve got?
