Women, Food and God by Geneen Roth.
This is another book that I would never have picked up as I thought it would be about strategies to lose weight and prevent yourself from overeating.
But it’s more than that—it uses food and your consumption of it as a metaphor for what you value and what you believe about yourself. It reminds you again of the power of treasuring yourself, of tenderness, kindness, trust and love towards yourself.
Every chapter had me underlining a core insight.
I’m sharing some excerpts for you to reflect upon and hopefully, experience a shift in how you view yourself.
