Seven ways to beat the Sunday night blues

beat the Sunday night bluesOh, Sunday sunsets—which means Monday is just around the corner. Here are some ideas to keep the blues at bay:

1. Make a Sunday night cocktail hour ritual.

It doesn’t have to be complicated. A daiquiri and a bowl of cornicks will give you the buzz you need to forget the weekend’s end.

2. Answer the following journaling prompts.

Three things I’m grateful for this week…
What I’m looking forward to in the week ahead…
Three things to make the week ahead amazing…

3. Take time to pamper your body.

Light a candle. Take a long, delicious shower. Use a special bath scrub. Shave your legs. Put on a fun Korean face mask. Paint your nails a cute color.

4. Read a feel-good book.

This is what I’m reading now. Or you can watch a classic movie (preferably something funny).

5. Make something with your hands.

Paint, do calligraphy, knit, do creative journaling, write, bake chocolate chip cookies you can bring to the office.

6. Get together with your family or friends and play some board games.

We love Pieface, Headbandz, Cranium and card games like Old Maid and Go Fish.

7. Meditate.

Pray. Offer up your stress and anxiety for the week ahead to God.
