Ready, set, go(al)!

A few weeks back, I found my filled-up copy of the Best Year Ever workbook, a collaboration I did last year with Micah Sulit of Eden Street.

Inside I found the goals I wanted to accomplish for my business: how much I wanted to earn, the workshops and retreats I wanted to do and the number of products I wanted to release. Then there were personal goals of travel and relationships.

So did I accomplish what I wanted? Yes and no and yes.

I haven’t reached my financial goals yet but I did grow my business and tripled my coaching hours this year.

The podcast I want to create still remains in the idea stage but I did launch my first e-course, did two workshops and am doing two more within the year.

I wanted to do six self-care kits for The Sunday Night Journal but only came up with one.

Before my next milestone birthday, I wanted to go on a trip with one of my best friends to Mexico. As I write this, I just came back from that awesome experience. (If you’ve ever wanted to visit that beautiful country, I documented our trip on Instagram.)

But there were also goals that I didn’t know I wanted to accomplish which happened: I was recently featured on CNN Philippines. I was interviewed for a podcast. More companies invited me to be a speaker. I sent out book proposals for The Sunday Night Journal. I launched volume 2 of The Sunday Night Journal. I let go of limiting beliefs by being coached.

What was the missing link?

1. Writing my goals in a workbook and not reviewing them every day (as recommended by Jack Canfield in the book The Success Principles)

2. Planning my monthly activities without aligning them with my goals

3. Having too many instead of focusing on just a few, like three

So why should you care about my goals?

Because you too might have written your own goals down somewhere and forgotten about it.

Because I’m here to remind you that it’s not too late to make them happen. There are still three months left in the year.

Because I want you to know that taking consistent action, never giving up and seeing your growth is as important as achieving your goals.

Because I want to show you that I also face the same challenges as you, that I’m also learning, and because of this, I can provide you with compassionate, goal-getting wisdom from real-life experience.

Three more months until the year ends. There’s still time to make it the best year ever. It truly is never too late.
