So what’s Write Away all about anyway?

A month ago, we concluded our second Write Away retreat. It was another incredible four days.

I envisioned Write Away to be the writing retreat of my dreams—to have a place where you can finally say yes to the writing muse that has been begging for your attention for so long, undisturbed writing time and mentorship so you can find out if you’re on the right track.

But it ended up—like the novel you’ve been working on or the poem that’s floating in your head—being so much more.

Write Away is about community…a community where you can reveal your true self, a community you never even thought to look for or noticed was missing in your life. It is a community that cheers you on even after the retreat.

Write Away is about trust…that the women who need this retreat the most will show up and heed the call of creativity.

Write Away is about stories…stories you’ve written, stories told over wine, cheese and laughter, stories that wake you up the same way the Batangas coffee does at breakfast.

Write Away is about soulful connection…your connection with words, your inner guidance system, the mentors and coach as you start opening up and allowing yourself to be vulnerable and soft.

Write Away is about gifts…the gifts of time, good food, nurturing, acceptance, compassion, quiet, rest and healing.

So if it has always been your dream to be a writer, give yourself the gift of Write Away. In this safe, accepting and positive space, it doesn’t matter if you’ve been working on your fourth novel or if the last time you’ve ever written was in high school. You deserve to honor your dreams and tell your story. You deserve to be here.
